A Walk in the Park, NYC Style!

0

New York… one of my favorite places to visit. I was so excited about going to my favorite spots there again… most especially:  Central Park!

Central Park, New York City

The last time I went was during the Christmas season.  Although Central Park was covered with snow, the Bethesda Fountain is perhaps best enjoyed during spring or summer when it is in full flow.

Olmstead and Vaux truly designed a beautiful fountain and it’s mostly unchanged from their original intent.  So here I am… sitting down by the fountain watching the world pass by.  It’s times like these I get to really feel that I am in New York.

On this day, I am wearing this season’s color block trend with my trusty travel accessories, a Longchamp tote and comfy Tory Burch camel wedges.  It was very easy to lose myself in Central Park’s magical atmosphere.  It’s hardly believable I am still in the city!

Here’s the iconic Loeb Boathouse that features the Boathouse Restaurant which also overlooks the lake.

Nearby the park, I decided to try a box of Ladurée macarons, sampling every single flavor shipped in daily from Paris.  My favorite flavors were pistachio, rose & caramel with salted butter.  Each bite was a perfect experience:  A delicate crisp cookie shell exterior and a smooth butter cream center!  Each macaron was like a precious little gem, delicate and delicious.

I do love the Gapstow Bridge.  It just exclaims beauty and romance :)  How quintessential NYC!

From the outside, its just a park.  From the inside, its a totally unique world.  Whether it be Spring, Summer, Winter or Fall, nothing beats a walk through Central Park.  A fantastic piece of nature within “The Big City”!
