eShakti’s Customization Style Concept

I was excited when I saw my package at my door step from eShakti, an online store, that I discovered online.  They asked me to review one of their fashion pieces, a dress of my choice. When I was browsing my options, I soon realized how unique and different this website is.  And so, I am happy to share it with all you, my friends.

I can’t remember how many times I’ve had conversations with some of my friends that say they would love to wear the latest trends and fashion but can’t fit in them.  Whether we are feeling too thin, too big, have unproportional measurements, or just really prefer the classic modest pieces, we ladies have a million reasons why we can’t wear that dress.

eShakti Customizable Dress

Well, eShakti is the perfect website that provides the solutions to all our excuses!  This phenomenal company has an invigorating concept for all of us:  Free Customization on ALL their fashion pieces!

I navigated through their site pretty easily. There are three steps you make when ordering an item.
Step 1 asks you for your standard size where bust, waist & hips measurement are all listed under each size.  You may also opt for Custom Size if you cannot find your exact size under standard size.
Step 2 asks for your height.
Step 3 asks for what sleeve type you would like, what dress length and what kind of neckline you prefer.  There are many selections for each sleeve type such as capsleeve, inset cap or short length to name a few.  As for neckline, some examples are scoop or boat necklines.  Each selection varies per dress or blouse.

After my customization, my dress that arrived certainly fit my imagination:   Chic, classy, elegant, modest and easy on the figure.

The dress is brimming with finesse.  It exuded loveliness and femininity.  The fabric of the dress is firm but not heavy, flowy but not hard.  At one glance, you can see how well-made this fashionable piece is.  It’s so versatile too!  I can imagine so many pairings with it and wear it to so many occasions!  Here, I wore a fabulous flower bib necklace that was purchased from traveling in Asia.  My perfect black pump by Casadei adds that chic touch.

Celebrate in Red

Happy Monday!  How was your Father’s Day Weekend?  Lovely, I hope!

Last year, I wore the exact same dress during Mother’s Day when I celebrated it with my mom in Las Vegas.  This year, I wanted to wear it too in honor of Father’s Day.  There is something about wearing red during special occasions.  Red is the color of love and passion.  Definitely perfect for holidays.  However, the color is also regarded as an appetite stimulant – perhaps this explains common weight gain during the holiday season. ;p

My first sense of “high fashion” came from the presents my sisters and I received from my dad during his business trips.  There is something wonderful about collecting eclectic fashion items from around the world.  It broadens our knowledge of style and makes us aware of other cultures.

I remember my schoolmates would compliment me on my top or my pair of denims and they always sound surprised when I tell them my dad bought it for me during his business trip.

In his visit in Los Angeles, he surprised me when he brought 7 pairs of shoes from his trip to Asia (he knows, from raising 3 ladies, that shoes make girls happy).  They were from a brand called Charles & Keith from Singapore.  I was elated!

I am thankful that my family allowed me to be who I am, expressing my style freely as early as a child.  I got my passion for jewelry from my mom.  I paired my outfit with this gorgeous 14k pink gold and black onyx matching earrings and ring from Italy.

In the jewelry industry, pink gold has been around for several years.  However, I noticed that it is only 2 years after we see it does it appear in retail stores.  There’s many other variety of jewelry trends that came after pink gold.  I’ll be showing you an example of some other “gold colors” that came after pink gold that hasn’t completely hit the market yet on a later blog post.

As another reason for me to feel elated…  my family is coming to visit me again in a few weeks and I am soo excited as we will be traveling to the east coast as well.

Wardrobe Essential: Little Black Dress

Dresses are a girl’s best friend when it comes to versatile clothing. More so, the little black dress!

This little number was passed on to the mainstream by Coco Chanel and made iconic by Audrey Hepburn. The LBD is one of the most versatile pieces you could own. You can use it  in a casual, business, wedding or funeral setting. There are also many styles for the little black dress, so take the time to try out different designs. I enjoy trying new clothes out!  This time,  I chose to wear one with a peplum detail. The added ruffle enhances a lady like flair to the ensemble. Additionally, I found this for only $7 at a sample sale! That’s another reason why it’s important to really shop around. You may find a great deal for an LBD that’s right for you!

At the office:  Pair the dress with a blazer during the day.
