Style File: High-Low Hem

On the recent JCK Las Vegas Show, I noticed a major clothing trend amidst vendor and client meet and greets.  The trend is the current high-low hemline trend.

Still high from the hustle and bustle of Vegas, I wanted to bring the high low trend with me, simplified and certainly work-appropriate.  Since it is a trend, keeping it simple & polished will seal the look while still not making such an aggressive statement.

The High-Low Hem

Donned in their purses designed by Tory Burch, Louis Vuitton, Chanel & Hermes (the top four handbags carried by women jewelers), they sashayed in the convention center in their high-low hemlines ready to buy more jewels for their retail stores. Of course they may just want to know what’s trending now in the jewelry industry too.

A part of fashion is about playing with lengths, so when wearing these hot hems, you’ll have the illusion of long sexy stems from the rear while being a little party ready in the front. I am definitely channeling my love for the 80’s with my polka dot scarf (and wearing one of these chic mullet-inspired cuts, modernized in what we now call the “high-low hemline”).
