Outfit Emphasized: Cocktail Rings

1

cocktail ring is one of the best ways to express your great sense of style and personality.

Much like wine in conversations, it adds that kick to make things more elegant and interesting. While enjoying a few glasses of the Cardinale and Stella Rosa (Rosso, Rosso Pink, and Rosso Berry), all variations are affordable & sweet, I realized that the days of modest bare fingers are gone. Large rings are no longer boastful and extravagant.   People who know me best know that out of all types of accessories, I love jewelry the most.  Out of all jewelry, I am drawn most to rings!

Though cocktail rings were once worn only with your very best tea-length dress to a very fancy party, modern cocktail rings are acceptable to be worn with jeans to school or to work with your black blazer or while in your weekend summer skirt.  I chose an all-black ensemble to emphasize just how a cocktail ring can easily brighten subdued hues.

One of my favorite pass times… free wine tasting at the historic San Antonio Winery, Los Angeles.  So what can I introduce over a glass of wine (maybe a few *wink*)?

How about a cocktail ring?

14k Yellow Gold & Black Onyx Cocktail Ring

I’ve been working in the jewelry industry for about 8 years and for those considering cocktail rings, here are the top five styles:

Gemstone – precious and semi-precious stones.
Floral – big flowers made of fabric, sculpted out of metal and carved out of gemstones.
Estate – antique jewelry featuring avant garde styles or one-of-a-kind embellishments usually made of 18k gold (could be a family heirloom to be passed on to your daughter someday).
Abstract – artistic jewelry featuring sculputres & gemstones in interesting & eye-catching patterns.
Novelty – adorable shapes like your favorite animal, insect or type of candy that diversifies your jewelry collection.

I believe that cocktail rings are great conversational pieces which gives an instant boost of elegance and class that can go with almost every outfit.

I am curious, what is your favorite type of jewelry?  I would love to know!
