Whirlwind, I feel, is the proper word to use to describe my experience in visiting the Musée du Louvre in Paris.

Louvre Paris France

The reason for this is because I absolutely, honestly feel that one cannot fully grasp the beauty of the Louvre in just a day.  Although I have been gallivanting in Paris for a week by this time now, there is still absolutely so much more to do and see.  The Louvre, alone, can quite possibly take up 3 days of your time if you really wanted to.  It’s just that beautiful awe-inspiring inside.  Imagine the works of many great artists before our time all combined in one magnificent exhibit.  I still remember the feeling of passing the marble clad corridors of the Louvre and feel my hair rising due to the overabundance of beauty and art surrounding me.  One can totally feel the emotions the artists must have had back in time through the dramatic paintings hanging along the walls.  It certainly reminds me how big our world is and how many people led such inspirational lives.  I think that is what’s so great about preserving the history and tradition over the course of time.  In a way, we are able to see the past through the painters eyes.  Sometimes it can be grand, other times it can be melancholy.  What’s important is that we are able to share a part of ourselves and use our God-given talents.

Jardin du Luxembourg is the quintessential Parisian garden that you must stroll by on your way to Musée du Louvre.  Iconic fountains will feast your eyes and, if time warrants, one might even venture to take a nap by the sidelines.  The thing about Paris is that with all the people that live and visit the city, a moment of serenity in a park like this can be everything.
