Looking Chic in the Heat

I live for summer!

Today was the perfect day.  Clear blue skies.  Hot sunshine.  I love all the fun that summer brings and being outside enjoying the food and activities makes it feel that it is a season well spent.  Depending on what part of the country you live in, it may be hot and humid or sunny with a cool breeze.  Those who enjoy the more pleasant summers do not have much to worry about as far as selecting clothing.  However, those who face what we call a “long hot summer” may experience clothing dilemmas.

Styleat30’s 8 Fullproof Summer Dressing Tips:

1. Stay comfortable, wear light cotton dresses.
2. Protect your eyes, cover them up with sunglasses.
3. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!  Drink lots of water so that you can maintain your energy under the sun.  Proper hydration also helps keep your skin healthy too!
4. Add another layer… of sunblock!  You want to stay protected under the sun.  Sunburns and skin cancer are never good to have.
5. Keep cool, wear short skirts.  Been working out and preparing for the summer season?  An easy way to stay cool is by wearing short skirts to allow maximum breathability!
6. If short skirts is a no go, long flowing fabrics ventilate well and keep your covered skin protected.
7. Don’t go heavy!  Jeans & leggings are not friendly around this time.
8.  Looking good?  Great!  But don’t forget to accessorize!  Go with your heart and accessorize with fashionable jewelry and your favorite summer wedge sandals.

Here’s to the beginning of summer!  I can’t wait to bask in the sun with my swimsuit, display my nails with bright colors, attend outdoor concerts, lounge in beach chairs, sip some iced coffee, obliterate ice cream, twinkle sand in between my toes, work out at 7pm and sport big sunglasses.

Cheers to you, summer!
