On our journey to Florence, Mother Nature decided to profoundly spoil us. With a beautiful, glowing sunset, here’s a flashback of the time where we explored more of the city’s old bridges: The Ponte Vecchio (known for the many jewelry shops that adorn the bridge) and the Ponte Santa Trinita (which was designed by Michelangelo and features four statues on its ends representing the four seasons; it also gives the best photo opportunity for anyone viewing the sunset casting over the Ponte Vecchio).
I am so thrilled and happy to share that this Italy trip was in part of my second wedding anniversary with my husband. What a joyous milestone!
With this, I was certainly bursting with so much happiness and gratitude in my heart while walking along the Arno River.
It feels so nice to stroll all day in Italy during the last few weeks of summer and enjoy the simple things with my husband. This spectacular sunset, the smell of fresh deliciously cooked pasta and a few wine tasting occasions to celebrate our anniversary affirms that this is a summer we’ll remember forever.
