Black & White in Life & Fashion

1

“I have nothing to wear!”  Ah, it happens to the best of us.  Whenever I exclaim it and start rummaging through my closet, I tend to lean towards a black & white ensemble.  It is always the easiest answer when I want to look chic and sophisticated in fashion.  I find it simplistic, uncompromisingand unambiguous.

It is classic & classy, a timeless trend, and just looks good with anything and everything.  I stock my closet with black and white basics as they are my last resort on those days when I feel like I don’t have options.  Yes, such things happen to me too… I am a woman after all!

In the frenzy of life, I wish there was a way to see our choices in black and white.  How often is it that an experience we are going through is as clear as right and wrong (heck, even “right and wrong” has been debatable) so as not to make it difficult for us to make the correct and moral decision?  Just as in fashion, exteriors can be deceiving.

Black & White

They say life’s not all a bed of roses.  However, whatever situation we may be in, however many shades of gray may seem to cloud our path, we can certainly strive to be a rose, can’t we?  Our lives were not to be made easy but let us take initiative and also try to not make it so hard.  In our life choices, let us KISS (keep it simple stupid) ambiguity away!

Simplicity, I feel, is necessary in both life and fashion.  When you feel like you don’t have an option (or for some, too many options), let’s go back to basics!

Be that as it may, if you must add some drama, I propose to do it with leather. ;)
