Amazing Aria Hotel, Budapest

0

As a finale to my fanciful and whimsical moments at the Aria Hotel Budapest, I reminisce on everything from the hotel’s playful musical details to their mischievous in-suite sunroofs.

Since finishing my studies at well-known Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles, my eye for color schemes and décor have been overflowing with inspiration now more than ever.

Being at the Aria Hotel Budapest inspired the creativity in me as I experienced the wonders and allures of romantic Budapest.  Coming home to these beautiful interiors after having seen a live musical performance at the Hungarian State Opera House (which will be featured in another post), I realized that the city is also a music-lovers haven.  I was so inspired that I slept that night to the melodies of Erkel Ferenc, thanks to the state of the art gadgets available in my room.  I stayed at a Luxury Room at the Opera Wing that had some ultra-elegant features such as a 55-inch flat screen in a marble fireplace mantle, a home theatre projector, a Blu-ray player, access to a digital music library and an interactive multimedia entertainment system.

I adore the little details from their artistic choice of having open bathrooms which integrated well with the interior of their suites, to sun-lit room ideas, to their marble bistro tables & chairs and their beautiful designer onyx bathrooms.  Bravo to the genius architect Zsolt Szecsi and the vision of the interior designer Zoltan Varro, both of which are Hungarian.  To keep things interesting, guests have the option to choose from staying at one of their four wings:  The classical wing, the opera wing, the contemporary wing or the jazz wing.  With two to three rooms per floor, the Aria Hotel Budapest is able to offer exclusivity and privacy to each and every one of their guests!

I am smitten with their delectable breakfast choices and adore the classy yet easygoing atmosphere in the lobby.  Truthfully, I longed to spend my entire morning there where I can enjoy the crisp croissants, freshly squeezed peaches and distinctive cappuccino.  The hotel’s staff is the best – always so friendly and helpful, armed with the best of tips Budapest can offer.

My no. 1 rule when traveling is to never put oneself in a situation where one might be exposed from unnecessary trouble or danger.  Having said that, I always look for globally exceptional hotels and resorts located near major attractions with nearby public transportation options.  It’s the only way to ensure of having a guaranteed spectacular time!  Aria Hotel Budapest is without doubt one of those universally noteworthy hotels for me. It is centrally located in Budapest where the Hungarian State Opera House is a short walk away while St. Stephen’s Basilica is right next-door.  Once a historic building in the 1870’s, the hotel is small-scale enough that you won’t feel overlooked, yet enormous enough that you’ll have the freedom to absolutely feel carefree.  Looking down from the terrace unto their music garden courtyard, there was no doubt in mind that this place is special.  Important in its own way, it presents the perfect modern escape that complements the history, culture, beauty and grandeur of Budapest.
